No dia 06/ 04/ 2017, o bairro de Rocha Miranda recebeu a visita do Secretário de Conservação Rubens Teixeira, acompanhado do Vereador Jair da Mendes Gomes que lhe passou as principais demandas da região.
Na ocasião foram ouvidas as principais demandas da região, como asfaltamento de rua, tapa buraco, vazamento de esgoto, vazamento água e principalmente a recuperação da Praça 8 de Maio visando o andamento do projeto de lei 102/2017 que indica a criação do Polo Gastronômico de Rocha Miranda.
